Lead QA Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join the Setel Engineering team.

In This Role You Will:
  • Be the driver of Quality across Setel by looking at the big picture to improve the quality of the products while helping improve development speed
  • Define and improve engineering processes, identify and mitigate risks & implement tooling and automation solutions
  • Review requirements, specifications, and sprint scope to assess delivery risks and implement best QA plan to each scrum team
  • Coach, mentor and manage a team of QA Engineers responsible for automation and manual test cases
  • Identifying, promoting and supporting the adoption of innovative tooling and approaches to drive high-quality product and engineering practices in the development team
  • Collaborate with, and provide status updates to, team leads and product leads
  • Continuous assessment of Setel app quality and performance and implement improvement initiatives
  • Provide support for resolving customer issues and finding root cause

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Tester and 2+ years as Lead QA
  • Proven achievement of delivering quality, performance and velocity improvements to applications that serves six digit user base
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing mobile applications, web applications, and REST APIs
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with client-server architecture
  • Experience with Crashlytics, Instabug or similar error reporting services
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Practical experience with bug tracking systems (JIRA)
  • Experience with Payment / Rewards & Loyalty / Marketplace / e-Commerce / SaaS apps, but not a requirement
  • Experience working with a distributed team across multiple time zones
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing
