We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our growing product development team in KL. The role is a unique opportunity to build world-beating, world-class products, focusing on delivering seamless & frictionless petrol E-payments.

Senior Product Manager

  • Your mission is to define the future of Setel. It's a huge challenge, but an exciting one. You’ll figure out how we can revolutionise and deliver a new retail experience of customers at a petrol station and beyond.
  • You'll lead by example - not only will you drive priorities forward directly with engineers/QAs, but we'd love it if you could help other departments in delighting the customer. This means understanding their potential and providing insights and data where necessary. As we are a data focused company, it helps to know what makes each of the teams tick to make sure they are focusing on the proper KPIs.
  • Communication and inspiration - you'll be responsible for understanding the why and how of the product so you can communicate the Setel story to anyone - from engineers to their grandmother.

Your Mission

At Setel, product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, QA and customer-facing teams. You’d be joining a group of experienced Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and consumer products that are collectively impacting users across Malaysia and beyond.

In Malaysia, we are looking for a Product Manager who’s passionate about learning the complex intersection between fuel, payments and loyalty systems, and will help build new innovations & flows towards delighting customers in delivering a next generation retail experience.

You’ll get to work with a dispersed product development team across Malaysia, Ukraine and US to build features that span various parts of the platform, as well as working with our operations and marketing teams to understand and solve our user’s pain points.

On a usual day, a product manager would dive in hands-on to drive discussions on solutions forward, going from user journeys to deep architecture and flows between microservices, then clarify and have key decisions and criterias defined into user stories, that are transitioned into design, and then prioritised into development sprints for execution. We expect PMs to drive clarity and urgency to deliver outcomes, making scope or tradeoff decisions on the fly.

Aside from this internal facing aspect, product managers also work with vendors in defining and prioritising work items towards delivering capabilities to be integrated towards shipping end-to-end solutions.
